Job Description
Auto detailers are professionals who enhance the appearance of cars and trucks for a variety of clients including vehicle owners, dealerships, rental services, and insurance companies. Their responsibilities and techniques may differ, but in general, auto detailers perform the following tasks:
Conduct hand washing and waxing of vehicles.
Apply rustproofing and undercoating to protect the vehicle.
Thoroughly clean various parts including the undercarriage, engine, tires, chrome and aluminum components, upholstery, vinyl, and leather.
Utilize air compressors and other tools to clean hard-to-reach areas such as vents and crevices that accumulate dust.
Vacuum and shampoo carpets to remove dirt and stains.
Repair minor damages like dents and scrapes.
Apply appropriate finishes to restore the vehicle’s shine.
Remove stubborn stains to enhance the vehicle’s overall appearance.
Identify pre-existing damages and potential selling points that can be communicated to customers.
